This was a death match. No surrender; no escape.
Once the duel started, all gates were closed. Each gate
has 80 DP.
Division 5, plus $500 for hand weapons. Driver only.
Driver's identities are not be a secret. Reflex rolls
were used.
Any normal body-style is allowed, as well as any approved
AADA item.
The arena is The Emperor's Garden, reproduced in Northwest
Mississippi
near Tunica as part of a casino attraction.
The arena floor is made of packed dirt, so maneuvers are at +1 and crash
table results are at -3.
Also, rolls and bail-outs will result in reduced damage. No underbody
damage is possible, so no OR susp. required.
Radials and Racing Slicks work normally; OR Radials do not.
Rocks have 50 DP and are three feet high. Boulders are 150 DP each
and are ten feet high.
Trees, trimmed in bonsai fashion, are ten feet tall and have 20 DP
each.
The ten gates have been reinforced for this death match, and have 80
DP each.
There have been several questions as to the nature of the hand weapons
rule. The official rules for this event are:
1) Total value of Vehicle and all equipment not to exceed $5500. At
least $500 of this must be spent on pedestrian equipment.
2) Pedestrian equipment includes PFE, Body Armor, Grenades, etc.
3) Alternate Encumbrance Rules will not be used. Drivers will
be limited to 6 GE's on their person.
Extra equipment must be stored in the vehicle. Every 12 GE's, or fraction
thereof, takes 1 space and weighs 50#,
except for Portable Fire Extinguishers, which have their own listed
weight/space as cargo.
4) Also, since Alternate Encumbrance Rules are not in effect, and to
keep the game more fun,
there will be no restrictions as to what weapon you can fire while
driving a cycle. In other words,
for this duel there are no two handed weapons, so anything goes as
long as you can afford it. :-)
You will still not be able to drive a car with a backpack or backpack
type item on.
As to questions about when the duel ends, this is to the death, but
that doesn't mean everyone must die.
If a player is knocked unconscious, that will count as incapacitated.
Stunned players will be handled slightly differently.
If the duel comes down to one person standing with everyone else dead,
unconscious or stunned, then that player
will be declared the winner. If someone is stunned and "wakes up" before
the above condition is met, that person
is back in the game and the event continues!
